Süleyman Nahit Şendur

Nach dem Abschluss der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe wurde an derselben Universität die Facharztausbildung in Innerer Medizin abgeschlossen. Während der Weiterbildung in Innerer Medizin wurde die Position „Chief Resident“ der Inneren Medizin übertragen. 2011 wurde von der Abteilung für Innere Medizin der Universität Hacettepe die Auszeichnung „Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli – erfolgreichste Forschungsassistenz des Jahres“ verliehen. Die 2014 abgeschlossene Abschlussarbeit mit dem Titel „Auswirkung des Anpassungsprozesses in den ersten Arbeitswochen von Ärztinnen und Ärzten im ersten Weiterbildungsjahr während ihrer Rotationen auf der internistischen Intensivstation auf die Mortalität“ wurde mit der Auszeichnung „Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli – erfolgreichste Abschlussarbeit des Jahres“ geehrt. Von 2015 bis 2018 bestand eine Tätigkeit als Forschungsassistenz in der Subspezialisierung an der Abteilung für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechselerkrankungen der Universität Hacettepe; anschließend wurde der Facharzttitel für Endokrinologie erworben. Die staatliche Dienstpflicht wurde am Staatlichen Krankenhaus Kars Harakani abgeleistet. Seit 2020 besteht eine Tätigkeit mit Assistenzprofessur an der Abteilung für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechselerkrankungen der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe.

Dr. Şendur erhielt 2016 ein Stipendium der European Union of Medical Specialists und der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechsel und reiste daraufhin nach England. An der Abteilung für Endokrinologie und Molekularbiologie der Universität Sheffield in der englischen Stadt Sheffield wurden Forschungsarbeiten zu Leptin durchgeführt.

Derzeit bestehen Mitgliedschaften in der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechsel, der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie (European Society of Endocrinology), der Amerikanischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie (Endocrine Society) und der Europäischen Neuroendokrinen Gesellschaft. In der Gruppe „Junge Endokrinologie“ der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechsel bestand eine Tätigkeit als Vorstandsmitglied.

Dr. Şendur verfügt über mehr als 20 Originalarbeiten in internationalen und nationalen Fachzeitschriften. Zu den Interessengebieten zählen Erkrankungen der Hypophyse, der Nebenniere (adrenale Drüse) und der Nebenschilddrüse.
