Murat Akova

Д-р Мурат Акова окончил в 1982 году Стамбульский медицинский факультет Стамбульского университета. Ординатуру по внутренним болезням завершил в 1984-1989 годах на медицинском факультете Университета Хаджеттепе. В 1988-1989 годах работал в «London Hospital Medical College, Department of Medical Microbiology» в Лондоне (Великобритания), в 2002-2003 годах — в Бостоне (США) в отделении «Tufts University School of Medicine, Center for Adaptive Resistance and Microbiology». С 1989 года работает преподавателем в отделении инфекционных болезней кафедры внутренних болезней медицинского факультета Университета Хаджеттепе; д-р Акова в 1991 году стал доцентом, в 1998 году — профессором. В 2000-2006 годах был заместителем декана медицинского факультета Хаджеттепе и преподавателем кафедры медицинского образования и информатики, а также заведующим кафедрой медицинской информатики в Институте информатики Университета Хаджеттепе; в 2002 – июне 2009 года работал в Центральном этическом комитете Министерства здравоохранения представителем Турецкой медицинской ассоциации. В настоящее время является генеральным секретарём «European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases» и избран председателем этого же общества на период 2014-2016 годов.
