Oya Özdemir

Sie schloss 1994 das TED Ankara Kolleji und 2000 die Medizinische Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe ab. Ihre Facharztausbildung beendete sie 2006 in der Abteilung für Physikalische Medizin und Rehabilitation der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe. Ihren Pflichtdienst leistete sie 2007–2008 am Lehr- und Forschungskrankenhaus Ankara Atatürk. 2009 nahm sie ihre Tätigkeit als Lehrbeauftragte in der Abteilung für Physikalische Medizin und Rehabilitation der Universität Hacettepe auf. Dr. Oya Özdemir, die 2012 Assoz. Professorin und 2018 Professorin wurde, besitzt außerdem die „Europäischen Board-Zertifikate als Fachärztin und Ausbilderin“.

Auf ihrem Fachgebiet verfügt sie über mehr als 100 nationale und internationale Veröffentlichungen. Sie ist Vorstandsmitglied der Türkischen Osteoporose-Gesellschaft, der Anatolischen Lymphödem-Gesellschaft und des Anwendungs- und Forschungszentrums für Lymphödem der Universität Hacettepe.

Zu ihren besonderen Interessengebieten gehören Lymphödem, Kiefergelenkprobleme (temporomandibuläre Störungen), Rehabilitation bei Kopf-Hals-Tumoren, regionale Schmerzen wie Rücken-, Nacken- und Schulterschmerzen, Osteoarthritis (Gelenkverschleiß), Osteoporose (Knochenschwund) sowie die Rehabilitation neurologischer Erkrankungen wie Schlaganfall, Querschnittlähmung und Multiple Sklerose.
