Arzu Topeli İskit

Prof. Dr. Arzu Topeli İskit absolvierte mit dem Orhan-Birman-Stipendium der Türkischen Bildungsstiftung von 1996 bis 1998 eine Ausbildung in Intensivmedizin in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika und ist seit 1998 Leiterin der Intensivstation bzw. der Abteilung für Intensivmedizin der Abteilung für Innere Medizin der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe. 2002 wurde sie zur Doçent (Assoz. Professorin), 2007 zur Professorin ernannt. 2000 erhielt sie den Preis für junge Forschende der Amerikanischen Thoraxgesellschaft und 2001 den COPD-Forschungspreis der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Pneumologie. In der Mittel- und Oberschulzeit erzielte sie individuelle und Mannschaftsplatzierungen bei TÜBİTAK-Wettbewerben in Mathematik und Chemie. Sie erhielt 1989 im vierten Studienjahr der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe den Preis „Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli – erfolgreichste Praktikantin des Jahres“ und 1994 an der Abteilung für Innere Medizin der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe den Preis „Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli – erfolgreichste Assistenzärztin des Jahres“. Sie war bis 2008 Gründungspräsidentin der 2005 gegründeten Türkischen Gesellschaft für Internistische und Chirurgische Intensivmedizin (neuer Name: Türkische Gesellschaft der Intensivmedizinerinnen und Intensivmediziner). Seit 2010 ist sie Mitglied der Kommission für das Curriculum der Intensivmedizin im Ausschuss für Facharztausbildung des Gesundheitsministeriums. Von Dezember 2011 bis Januar 2016 war sie Ärztliche Direktorin der Erwachsenenklinik der Universität Hacettepe. Von 2013 bis 2019 leitete sie das Ausbildungsprogramm Intensivmedizin der Universität Hacettepe. Von 2013 bis 2019 war sie Vorstandsmitglied der World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine, in den letzten zwei Jahren als Schatzmeisterin, und von 2019 bis 2022 Mitglied des Forschungskomitees der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Intensivmedizin. Seit 2020 leitet sie das Anwendungs- und Forschungszentrum für Sepsisstudien der Universität Hacettepe (HÜSEP) (http://www.husep.hacettepe.edu.tr/). 2020 wurde sie in den Wissenschaftlichen Beirat COVID-19 des Gesundheitsministeriums berufen. Seit 2018 leitet sie die Abteilung für Innere Medizin der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hacettepe. Sie ist Herausgeberin der Zeitschrift Journal of Critical and Intensive Care. Sie hat zahlreiche nationale und internationale wissenschaftliche Tagungen organisiert und eingeladene wissenschaftliche Vorträge gehalten.
