Ali Bülent Çankaya

Prof. Dr. Ali Bülent Çankaya graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English program) in 1993. He completed his residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, which he began the same year, in 1997.

He worked at Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, particularly in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He became an Associate Professor in 2012. In 2013 he was appointed to the position of "Teaching Staff" at the same hospital.

In 2014 he began working as an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. He received the title of professor in 2018.

His main areas of interest are cataract surgery, glaucoma, and diseases of the cornea and retina.
