Tolga Yıldırım

Born in Artvin in 1980. Graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English-language program) in 2003, ranking third. Entered the Department of Internal Medicine, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, as fifth in Turkey in the Medical Specialty Exam (TUS), and received specialty training in internal medicine there between 2003 and 2009. Entered the Division of Nephrology, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, as first in Turkey in the subspecialty exam, and received subspecialty training in nephrology there between 2009 and 2012. Completed compulsory service as a nephrology specialist at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital between 2012 and 2014. Returned to Hacettepe University as an assistant professor in 2014. Obtained the title of associate professor in 2016. Currently works as an associate professor in the Division of Nephrology, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Member of the European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplantation Association, the Turkish Society of Hypertension and Renal Diseases and the Turkish Society of Nephrology. Areas of interest are chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation.
