Mustafa Berker

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Berker, Ph.D.

He was born in Çorum in 1961, completed his primary education in Çorum, and his middle and high school education in Ankara. After graduating from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1984, he completed his compulsory service for 2 years in the village of Büyükdere in Pasinler, Erzurum, and in central Erzurum.

He completed his specialty training in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1987 and 1994. After working at a private hospital for 2 years, he returned to Hacettepe in 1997 for the microneurosurgery doctoral program and completed it in 2001. He worked as an observer for 2 months in 2000 at the Department of Neurosurgery at Gutenberg University (Mainz, Germany), and for 6 months in 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio, USA).

He became an Assistant Professor in 1999, an Associate Professor in 2005, and a Professor in 2011 in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Mustafa Berker, who works on endoneurosurgery and skull base and pituitary tumors, has 46 international publications.

He is married and has two daughters.
