Murat Kara

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Kara graduated from Tunceli Anatolian High School in 2005 and received the title of “Doctor of Medicine” in 2011 by completing Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. After graduation, within the scope of the state service obligation, provided care to adult and pediatric patient groups for two years in the Emergency Department of Kovancılar State Hospital.

Completed the specialty training begun in 2013 in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University in 2019 and became a “Specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.” Fulfilled the state service obligation at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of Ankara Training and Research Hospital between 2019 and 2022.

Since 2022, has served as a faculty member in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University.

In 2010, spent five months as an observer at the University of Naples Federico II in Italy (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II).

Member of the board of the Hacettepe University Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniomaxillofacial Deformity Treatment, Application and Research Center, and continues work in the surgical treatment of cleft lip and palate and patient management.

Also continues academic work within the Advanced Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Doctoral Program conducted under the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences.

Member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and holds the society's “Certificate of Competence.”
