Merve Kocbiyik Tekin

Graduated from Trabzon Araklı Anatolian Teacher Training High School in 2011. Completed the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Atatürk University in 2015. Completed a master’s degree in cancer research at the University of Glasgow in 2019 and a doctorate in cancer genetics at the University of Birmingham in 2024.

Throughout education, worked on genes that play roles in mechanisms such as cancer development and metastasis in different cancer types, primarily colon, thyroid, and breast, and on modifications of these genes.
