İbrahim H. Güllü

He graduated at the top of his class from Istanbul Atatürk Boys' High School. In 1984, he graduated with honors from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his specialty training in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. He completed his subspecialty training in the Medical Oncology Unit of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He became an Associate Professor in 1993 and a Professor in 1998.



In 1995, he worked on the direction of clinical trials at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.



He is a member of many scientific organizations and societies, notably the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He has been the editor of the International Journal of Hematology Oncology for 15 years and is a member of the editorial boards of many journals.



He received the Şeref Zileli Most Successful Resident Award during his internal medicine specialty training in 1990, the Hacettepe University Best Clinical Study Publication Award in 1996, the European Certificate in Medical Oncology in 1997, the Turkish Cancer Society Best Research Award in 2001, and, most recently, the European Journalist Union "Scientist of the Year" award (2009).



His areas of interest are innovations in cancer treatment, metastasis biology, angiogenesis, and solid tumor treatments.
