Fazıl Tuncay Aki

He graduated from Ankara Science High School and the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.

He completed his specialty training in the Department of Urology at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1996.

After his specialty, he received one year of uro-oncology subspecialty training in the Uro-Oncology Unit of the Department of Urology at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1996 and 1997.

He worked for nearly 1.5 years at the Elazığ 100-Bed Military Hospital and for nearly 2.5 years at the 2nd Urology Clinic of Ankara Numune Hospital.

In 2001-2002, he worked for 2 years in the Department of Immunology and Organ Transplantation at the University of Texas in the USA. He became an Assistant Professor in 2004, an Associate Professor in 2005, and a Professor in 2010.

His special areas of interest are organ transplantation and its immunology, uro-oncology, and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) donor surgery.
