Fatma Gökçem Yıldız Sarıkaya

Graduated from Adana Anatolian High School in 1999 and from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. After completing specialty training in neurology at the Department of Neurology, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, in 2010, 2 years of compulsory state service were completed in Kastamonu. Doctoral (PhD) training in neuro-electrophysiology was completed between 2013 and 2019; the title of Associate Professor was obtained in 2018 and that of Professor in 2024. In 2016, work on non-invasive brain research was carried out at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology in the United Kingdom. Employed at the Department of Neurology, Hacettepe University, since 2013.

Active administrative duties have included membership of the faculty and executive board of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine as the Associate Professors' representative (2019-2022) and service on the executive board of the Turkish Clinical Neurophysiology EEG-EMG Society (2023-2026).

Member of the Turkish Neurological Society and an active member of the Turkish Clinical Neurophysiology EEG-EMG Society and the Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS).

Special areas of expertise and interest are clinical neurophysiology, diseases of the peripheral nerves and muscles, botulinum toxin injection treatment for dystonia and spasticity, and non-invasive brain stimulation (rTMS, etc.).
