Aygün Ertuğrul

She graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1995 as the top student of her class. She completed her specialty training in the Department of Psychiatry, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, between 1995 and 2000. Between 2001 and 2002, she received subspecialty training in Clinical Psychopharmacology in the Psychopharmacology division of the Department of Psychiatry, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. In 2002, she began working as a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, and became an associate professor in 2006. In 2009, she completed her doctorate in Basic Neurological Sciences at the Hacettepe University Institute of Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry. She became a professor in 2011. She received the İhsan Doğramacı Science Award in 1995, the NARSAD (National Alliance For Research on Schizophrenia and Depression) Young Investigator Award in the USA in 2002, the TÜBİTAK Brain Research Society Research Project Encouragement Award in 2003, the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Research Award in 2006, and in 2012 the first-place poster award at the European Congress of Psychiatry.
