Alev Türker

She graduated from the Turkish Education Association Ankara College High School. She completed Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1985. She completed her specialty training in the Department of Internal Medicine, Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, in 1992, and her subspecialty training in the Medical Oncology Unit of the Department of Internal Medicine, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, in 1995. She became an associate professor in 1998 and a professor in 2006.

She worked in laboratory studies on leukemia cytogenetics at University College Hospital in London, England, for 12 months between 1990 and 1991 and for 3 months in 1994.

Her areas of interest are the biology and treatment of leukemia and lymphoma, and the treatment of lung cancers and sarcomas.
