A.Elif Anıl Yağcıoğlu

She graduated from Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School in 1986 and from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1993. She completed her specialty training in the Department of Psychiatry at the same faculty in 1998. After her specialty training, from 1999 to 2000 she worked for one and a half years in the Psychopharmacology Unit of the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Tennessee, USA, where she conducted various studies on the treatment of schizophrenia. She resumed her duties as an instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2000, became an associate professor in 2004 and a professor in 2010. After obtaining the title of professor, she served as Head of the Department between 2011 and 2017. Her special areas of interest are schizophrenia and psychopharmacology.
